Monday evening brought yet another in a seemingly endless series of wonderful High Desert sunsets - but what were those 'flying saucer' clouds? NewsChannel 21 Chief Meteorologist John Carroll says: " Lenticular Clouds, usually form around the mountains as winds carve away or erode the edges of the cloud, and the lens-like appearance is what is left."
