Correction: US-Police Shooting-Alabama-Podcast story

WOODSTOCK, Ala. (AP) — In a story published December 4, 2023, about the shooting of Tyler Goodson, based on information from authorities, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Joseph Tyler Goodson, 32, was killed by police in Alabama on Sunday. Goodson, who was featured in the hit podcast “S-Town” that chronicled events in a rural Alabama community, was officially declared brain dead Tuesday night, two days after being shot by police, according to Bibb County Coroner Patrick Turner.
