Snow Report: February 23rd

No new snow at the moment, but a cold front will arrive late Sunday lowering snow levels in the central and southern WA Cascades by late afternoon and then the rest of the forecast overnight and early Monday. This will result in increased snowfall amounts in  the Cascades (accumulations of 8-16 inches).  Travel will be impacted by both the snow and wind (gusts as high as 45mph) producing severely reduced visibilities and possible whiteout conditions at times.  As a result, a Winter Storm Watch is in place along the East Slopes of the Cascades from Sunday Afternoon through Monday afternoon.
