REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Housing Works, the regional housing authority for Central Oregon, is excited to announce applications are being accepted from August 1st-15th for the newly redeveloped Spencer Court, a 60-unit modern affordable housing community in southwest Redmond.

The first of the three-story buildings (12 apartment homes) is nearing completion, with the second building expected to open at the end of August and the third building expected to open at the end of September.  This thriving area on SW Canal Boulevard is close to shopping, banking, medical, recreation, and public transportation.

Keeping the previous property name of Spencer Court, fondly named after a long-time resident who sadly passed a few years ago, the new development will include a community building for residents to gather with a dog washing station, a playground, a dog run, and plenty of bike storage.

The units come fully equipped with modern amenities such as dishwashers, washers and dryers, and mini-splits for heating and cooling comfort.  Each unit has a private patio or deck area for your outside enjoyment and the large windows fill the units with natural light.

The mixture of unit types will support and encourage various household compositions and multi-generational interactions.

The rents for a one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment are $850, $950, and $1,050. Household incomes are restricted to 60% of the area median income.  Please visit epicopenings.net from August 1st-15th to apply to the waiting list. There is no cost associated with joining the list.

The Spencer Court development is supported by financing from Deschutes County, Oregon Housing and Community Services, the City of Redmond, Washington Federal Bank, and PNC Bank.  The development was designed by the Pinnacle Architecture/Morrison Maierle engineering team, and is being constructed by local general contractor R&H Construction Co.
