Wanyonyi takes narrow victory in men’s 800m over Arop

Emmanuel Wanyoni won the men’s 800m by a thin margin, deafing Marco Arop by 0.01 second. It is the fifth consecutive Games where a Kenyan won the event. American Bryce Hoppel finished fourth and set a U.S. record time.
