Olympic javelin gold for Haruka Kitaguchi

Japan’s Haruka Kitaguchi took home women’s javelin gold, the first medal in the event for Japan. Kitaguchi stormed to the lead with an opening throw of 65.80 meters and held on to become an Olympic champion.
