Four gunshots fired in area of SW Redmond; police go door-to-door seeking witnesses, home security videos

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Police went door-to-door in southwest Redmond Monday night, seeking witnesses or home-security videos, after two citizens called to report hearing gunshots in the area and officers found a total of four shell casings in two locations.

The calls that came in just after 8 p.m. reported gunshots in the area of Southwest Timber Avenue and 24th Street Lieutenant Eric Beckwith said.

The responding officers found two shell casings on the sidewalk at the corner of Timber View Court and Timber Avenue. Two more shell casings were found on 24th Street between Salmon and Timber avenues.

“RPD did not discover any property damage or injured people when investigating the call,” Beckwith said in a news release.

Officers conducted a door-to-door neighborhood canvas in attempts to locate witnesses or residential video, the lieutenant said.

Anyone with video surveillance or other information regarding the shooting complaints is asked to contact Redmond Police through Deschutes County non-emergency dispatch, 541-693-6911, in reference to RPD Case Number 2024-25585.
