Gingerbread Junction: Holiday Cheer with a purpose
(BEND, Ore.) -- KTVZ-- Sunriver Lodge has transformed into a sweet wonderland, filled with gingerbread, frosting, and candy. It’s all part of the annual gingerbread house contest. An entire room has been turned into gingerbread junction where contestants purchase space to display their creative designs.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. The gingerbread houses are created by children, families, and even local businesses. Some of the houses are incredibly elaborate.
Lindsay Borkowski, Director of Marketing for Sunriver Resort said “Oh my goodness. Well, you'll definitely have to take a trip around the room because the creativity is amazing this year. There is everything from, Castle walls to villages to, a rendering of old Saint Francis theater.”
The public is invited to come view and judge the gingerbread houses. If you’d like to try your hand at judging the gingerbread houses, it’s open at the Sunriver Lodge from now until January 7th.
