Oregon Duck mascot hilariously loses his head in season opener

EUGENE, Ore. (KTVZ)  - The Oregon Ducks had some unexpected drama off the scoreboard this weekend when beloved mascot Puddles literally lost his head.

While leading the team out onto the field, the oversized duck head popped off and went rolling across the field. Puddles dashed for the tunnel while stadium staff scrambled to catch up with the wayward noggin.

No injuries were reported, just one red-faced duck and a stadium full of laughter.
