Warm and dry weather continues heading into the weekend, changes coming soon

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

A ridge of high pressure will continue to be the main feature of the forecast for the next few days. This pattern will keep the Tri-County area warm and dry heading into the weekend.

I’m tracking high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s today. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and winds will get a little breezy at times, gusting near 20mph this afternoon.

You can plan for this pattern to remain pretty consistent over the next few days until a cold front moves in on Sunday. This will bring a cooler temperature for the region and a chance for rain. Temperatures will drop to near normal, into the low to mid 70s on Sunday. Rain chances aren’t high, but a stray shower is possible.

Better chances for rain return next Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.

Have a great Thursday!
