Firebusters 2025, Day 4: Calling 911 in an emergency

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Call 911 if you have an emergency and need an ambulance, firetruck, or police officer. The 911 dispatcher will need to know where the emergency is.

Make sure you can describe your location.

If the emergency is not at your home look for a business name, cross streets, or mile post marker if your on the highway.

Stay calm and answer the 911 dispatcher’s questions.

Don’t hang up until they tell you it is okay to.

Remember, only call 911 if you have an emergency and make sure that you know where you are.
