Drying conditions with warming temperatures back to near normal

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

This weekend brought some exciting weather to the northwest. Mt. Bachelor received a foot of snow over the course of the weekend and some areas in the high desert also saw snow in their yards.

This morning, you are likely waking up to a frosty windshield. Very patchy ice is possible on back or rural roads that don’t see a lot of sunlight, and might not have had the opportunity to dry out.

Conditions are drying and skies are clearing today. Look for partly cloudy skies this afternoon as temperatures rise into the mid 40s to lower 50s.

A ridge of high pressure building into the region will have temperatures heating up roughly 10 degrees on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to be near or above normal for the remainder of the week. Normal for this time of year is in the mid and upper 50s.

There is a chance for a few raindrops to fall overnight into early morning Wednesday. It doesn’t look like much of the rain will make it over the mountains, but there is a slight possibility. Better chances for rain will be this upcoming weekend.

We could see rain start falling late Friday, which would be a nuisance to trick or treaters. We will continue to track the timing of the incoming rain so you can stay warm and dry this Halloween.

Happy Monday! Have a great day.
