Local Alert Weather Day: Wednesday

The region will be experiencing very gusty winds in the morning hours. The National Weather Service has the Tri-Counties under a "Special Weather Statement" for gusts near 35 mph with a few pockets hitting near 45 at times. Travel will be impacted by the winds and be accompanied by some spotty showers. South in Klamath and Lake Counties a High Wind Warning is in place, west along the I-5 corridor a Wind Advisory exists and SE in Harney and Malheur Counties a Wind Advisory is in place.

Due to the high volume of travel tomorrow, Christmas Eve, we have pushed the Local Alert Day for the winds and travel issues created by them. This will be for the morning hours and into the early afternoon.
