Cool and breezy today, warming into the weekend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - The Winter Weather Advisory for the Cascades was extended until 4am due to lingering mountain snow showers (above 4500 ft). Snow and gusty winds created difficult travel conditions through the passes.

The High Desert will stay dry and breezy today with partly cloudy skies. Afternoon highs will be in the low to upper 40s. A Wind Advisory is in place further north Central Oregon in Wasco County.

Overnight, temperatures will drop into the 20s and 30s, and there’s a small chance for a brief mixed showers early Friday morning.

After that, high pressure begins building back in, bringing a nice warm up heading into the weekend. Highs will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s on Friday under mostly cloudy skies.

The weekend looks great for outdoor plans. Saturday and Sunday will be dry and mild with highs in the 60s.

Early next week turns a little cooler, with highs returning to the mid to upper 40s Monday and Tuesday. Some areas have a chance to see rain/snow. It could be breezy at times.
