Preparing for impactful weather in the High Desert

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- KTVZ’s Weather Team has enacted a Local Alert Weather Day for Thursday, May 28th. Severe weather can move quickly across the High Desert, bringing the potential for lightning, hail, strong winds, and even rare tornado activity.

KTVZ’s Claire Elmer is looking into how Central Oregonians can better prepare before storms arrive, what to do if you are caught outside or on the road during severe weather, and how local and state agencies respond when weather turns dangerous.
