Madras residents to meet city administrator candidates at public event

The City of Madras is seeking a new city administrator and has narrowed its search to three finalists. These candidates will participate in a public meet-and-greet event on Wednesday, June 10, at Initiative Brewing.

The community gathering is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering residents an opportunity to meet the individuals vying for the city's top administrative role. KTVZ reporter Spencer Sacks will cover the event.

The three candidates selected for the position are Brenda Fahey, Maurice Henderson II and Jody Yates.

Fahey currently serves as the assistant city manager and human resources director for the City of The Dalles. She previously held various roles with the City of Portland.

Henderson is a partner and co-founder of Two Degrees, a management consulting and communications firm. Henderson previously worked as a senior adviser to former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. He also served as chief of staff to former Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.

Yates is the maintenance operations group director for the Portland Bureau of Transportation. Yates has more than 15 years of experience with the City of Portland, contributing to her 27 years of government experience.
