Lone Pine fire burning Northwest of Powell Butte

Update: Forward progress on the fire has been stopped, and fire crews are still actively engaged in containment, per Crook County Sheriff's Office on Facebook.

POWELL BUTTE, Ore. (KTVZ) — A wildfire burning northwest of Powell Butte has grown to an estimated 4 to 5 acres, according to Watch Duty. It broke out around 9PM tonight.

The Lone Pine Fire is located near Lone Pine Road and O’Neil Highway in Crook County.

Fire crews are responding to the blaze and monitoring conditions as they work to contain the fire.

No additional details about containment, cause, or any potential impacts have been released at this time.
