Still warm and dry, hottest temps arrive Friday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Wildfires have been the biggest concern across the region this week. Very warm and dry conditions have kept fire danger elevated, but winds have eased since the weekend.

Wednesday’s forecast will be very similar to what we saw Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies, with breezy winds.

Friday will be the hottest day of the week, with highs climbing into the low 90s.

A trough will approach the region early Saturday, bringing stronger winds that could impact firefighting efforts. Temperatures will cool this weekend, with highs in the mid-80s Saturday before dropping into the upper 70s and low 80s Sunday.

Rain is not expected in Central Oregon over the next several days. Showers may develop closer to the coast early this weekend, while we'll likely just see more clouds moving through.

Expect highs in the mid 80s Monday before temperatures rise back into the low 90s Tuesday. Mostly sunny skies will continue to dominate the weather forecast.
