MISSING PERSON ALERT: 88-year-old Terrebonne woman with dementia missing

TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to locate an 88-year-old woman who went missing yesterday in Terrebonne. Janet Montoya, who suffers from dementia, was last seen leaving her home at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Deschutes County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue volunteers have been deployed to assist in the search due to Montoya's vulnerable condition. She was last seen on 17th Street approaching Davidson Way.

Montoya is described as five feet four inches tall and weighing 126 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a maroon vest, a long-sleeved blue shirt, light blue jeans, hiking boots and a blue visor. She was also carrying a purse at the time of her disappearance.

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office released images of Montoya from a Ring doorbell camera that recorded her walking out of her front door. The office also provided her most recent DMV photo to help the public identify her current appearance. The Ring camera photos are attached below:

Authorities are urging residents in the Terrebonne area to check their properties and review any home security footage for potential sightings. The Sheriff's Office requested that any information regarding Montoya's whereabouts be reported to non-emergency dispatch at (541) 904-5863.
