A Beautiful Day

KTVZ

-GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

A very fair air flow out of the west and NW will deliver another beautiful day to the High Desert today. We may see a thin cloud or two, we will also receive plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50's and NW breezes will be gentle at 5-15 mph. Skies will stay mostly clear tonight. Winds will become light and variable this evening and stay that way. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 20's.

We will see another fair day Thursday. Friday will be the transition day. A system moving southward along the British Columbia coastline will thicken our clouds and bring us a chance of some late day showers. Enough fair air will mix with the leading edge of this system that we will see highs staying in the mid to upper 50's. The colder air imbedded in this system will turn mixed showers to snow Friday night. While it won't be a huge event for us it will likely slicken our streets by Saturday morning. Saturday's highs will be in the mid to upper 30's, so we can expect snow and mixed showers to continue into Saturday night. Mt. Bachelor expects to see another 4-6" of fresh snow from Friday night into Sunday morning. The passage of this system will leave us under clearing skies. Despite the additional sunshine, however, a NNE flow of cold air out of Canada will keep us well below average into the middle of next week.
