Fugitive burglary suspect surrenders at his SW Redmond home

K-9 team, police drone were on scene before he came out

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A burglary suspect with an outstanding arrest warrant surrendered to police at his southwest Redmond home Monday night, about an hour after officers began calling for him to come out.

Mickey Moore, 31, was taken into custody without further incident around 8:15 p.m. at his home near Southwest 33rd Street and Quartz Avenue, Lt. Curtis Chambers said.

A police K-9 team and a drone were on scene, along with officers, Chambers said.

On April 8, police said, Moore went to a residence in southwest Redmond and kicked in the door, leading to an altercation with someone inside. He left before police arrived.

Police got a tip the next afternoon that Moore was at a home near Southwest 33rd and Pumice Place and searched it and the area but didn't find him. They asked anyone in the public with information on Moore's whereabouts to contact them.

A $30,000 bench warrant was issued late last week for Moore's arrest on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and menacing. He also has pending charges in recent weeks that include harassment and methamphetamine possession.

Moore was booked into the Deschutes County Jail late Monday night on numerous charges, with his bail totaling $110,000.
