Oregon reports 23 new COVID-19 cases, one in Deschutes; no new deaths

MGN

PORTLAND, Ore. — The state’s death toll from COVID-19 is unchanged from Sunday and remains at 148, the Oregon Health Authority reported Monday.

OHA also reported 19 new confirmed cases and four new presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Monday, bringing the state total to 3,949, along with 109,909 negative test results.

It's the ninth day this month that the agency has reported no new COVID-19 deaths in its daily tally.

The new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases reported Monday are in the following counties: Clackamas (4), Deschutes (1, for a total of 120), Jackson (3), Josephine (1), Marion (4), Multnomah (5), Umatilla (1), Washington (5).

Deschutes County has had 120 COVID-19 cases and 4,629 negative test results. Crook County has had five cases and 500 test results, while Jefferson County has had 25 positive cases (including 17 from Warm Springs) and 762 negative results.

Notes:

  • Due to data reconciliation, one presumptive case had updated information, and their case status was changed to not a case to reflect the new information.
  • A case originally reported as a Linn County case was later determined to be a Marion County case. The case count in Marion County includes the case to reflect this change. However, the case that moved from Linn County to Marion County is not reflected in the total of new cases statewide for Monday.

COVID-19 Weekly Report publication day changed: The Oregon Health Authority’s COVID-19 Weekly Report will be released on Wednesdays, starting Wednesday, May 27.
