Redmond police arrest Crooked River Ranch man in drug raid

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Redmond police detectives raided a Crooked River Ranch home on Wednesday and arrested a 57-year-old resident on various charges related to drug sales in and around Redmond, officers said.

Detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 13800 block of Southwest Cinder Drive in Jefferson County, Lt. Curtis Chambers said.

The Redmond Police Street Crimes Unit began an investigation in August that led to Wednesday’s raid, which resulted in the seizure of more than 12 grams of heroin and two grams of methamphetamine, along with evidence of drug manufacturing and sales and several gift cards used in digital money transactions, Chambers said.

The man was booked into the Jefferson County Jail in Madras.

The Redmond Police Street Crimes Unit is dedicated to enhancing residents' quality of life by targeting low-level drug distributors and investigating drug-related burglaries, robberies, and thefts.  In 2018, the City Council approved funding for two full-time detectives to operate the unit.
