Bend Spay and Neuter Project has been chosen by The Petco Foundation along with 99 other non-profit organizations nationwide to compete in an online voting competition on Facebook to win one of ten prizes in the amount of $10,000.

The top ten organizations with the most votes will win a $10,000 prize.

Bend Spay and Neuter Project has already received a check in the amount of $1,000 from The Petco Foundation, simply for being chosen for the contest.

Voting runs through 10/5 and voting can be done once per day. To cast your daily vote, simply visit The Petco Foundation’s Facebook page and click on the 100 Celebrations link.

The 100 Celebrations program was created by The Petco Foundation to celebrate the Foundation having raised over $100,000,000 to help animals nationwide.

Bend Spay and Neuter Project provides high quality, low cost or free spay and neuter services to cats and dogs in Central Oregon.

Bend Spay and Neuter Project does not receive public funding, and relies on donations, fundraising events and grants to continue operations.

The mission of the organization is to help end pet homelessness, as well as to enable people who are low income to provide their pets with basic, preventative veterinary care.

By the end of 2012, Bend Spay and Neuter Project will have spayed or neutered over 30,000 animals in Central Oregon, preventing thousands of animals from entering our local shelters. To donate or volunteer please visit their website at http://www.bendsnip.org or call 541-617-1010.
