Meyer Trust C.O. grants total $378,421

At the June program meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust’s board of trustees awarded ten grants worth $378,421 to organizations in Central Oregon.

The awards include a $28,162 grant to the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance in Bend

to help increase public access to healthy, sustainably grown foods in Central Oregon, and three Habitat for Humanity grants totaling $110,000 for projects in Bend, Sunriver and Redmond.

Meyer Memorial Trust is one of the largest private foundations in the Northwest, with assets over $790 million.

June’s grants bring the total amount awarded in the Central Oregon area since Meyer Memorial Trust began operating in 1982 to more than $23 million. Overall, MMT has awarded just over $634 million during the past 32 years.

Meyer’s Board of Trustees—which includes Debbie Craig, John Emrick, Orcilia Ziga Forbes, George Puentes and Charles Wilhoite—meets monthly to make grants.
