New adventure-based rehab group receives grant
Destination Rehab provides adventure-based rehab for individuals with neurologic conditions. Their mission is to provide skills training to promote improved community participation, independence and quality of life.
Bringing physical therapy principles into the community and onto the trail gives their participants the confidence and training needed to engage in a full life.
Destination Rehab is the recipient of a $2,500 grant from the Cornelius and Mildred Dixon Memorial Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation for general operating support.
The mission of The Oregon Community Foundation is to improve life in Oregon and promote effective philanthropy. OCF works with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes they care about. Through these funds OCF awards more than $60 million annually in grants and scholarships. The Foundation makes grants through an application process that involves local citizens in the review and evaluation of requests for funds. Application materials are available through the Foundation’s Portland office. Individuals or businesses may contact the Bend office [541.382.1170] or visit www.oregoncf.org.
