Grant to support Family Access Network advocate at Redmond school
The Family Access Network is the recipient of a $3,000 grant from the Pacific Power Foundation to help support a FAN advocate at John Tuck Elementary School; a high needs school in the Redmond community.
The FAN advocate will connect over 200 children and family members to basic-needs including food, shelter, clothing, heating and healthcare over the course of the school year.
FAN’s mission is to improve lives by ensuring children have access to basic-need services, which aligns nicely with the Pacific Power Foundation’s mission to provide services through charitable investments to support growth and vitality in the communities served by Pacific Power.

The Pacific Power Foundation is part of the PacifiCorp Foundation, one of the largest utility endowed foundations in the United States. FAN began in January 1993, and currently employs 25 advocates in 50 public schools (K-12) and early childhood sites. FAN is unique to Central Oregon, utilizing advocates to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families with basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, health care and other critical services.
