KTVZ

Beginning this fall, Oregon State University–Cascades will launch night classes towards degrees in social science, and human development and family sciences.

The addition of the classes will allow students to maintain weekday work and family commitments, while completing their bachelor’s degree in the evenings.

The degree programs provide excellent preparation for individuals wanting to become a teacher, or who are interested in advancing a career, or in working in human services, communications, government or at a non-profit organization.

Students in the social science degree program study social and cultural dynamics within communities, and can pursue an option in community development and leadership.

The human development and family sciences degree is one of the largest at the university. Students investigate the development of an individual within a family, school, work setting, or larger community.

Classes toward the degree programs will be offered Monday through Thursday, and will start at 5:00 p.m. and conclude by 9:00 p.m.Classes will be held at the university’s new campus at 1500 SW Chandler Ave. For information, visit OSUcascades.edu or contact 541-322-3100.
