Redmond Police Citizen Academy coming up

The Redmond Police Department is proud to announce the opening of the 2016 session of the Citizen Police Academy which will begin on Thursday, September 29 th .

This Academy is designed to give citizens an overview of the Criminal Justice System and an inside look at the Redmond Police Department’s function and operational procedures.

The Citizen Police Academy provides community members with a historical look at the tradition, progress and future direction of the Redmond Police Department.

Academy classes are taught by highly trained police department personnel. Classes include Use of Force, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Criminal Investigation, Traffic Enforcement, and Range 3000 Simulator. Participants will also be given the opportunity to ride with department officers and to participate in various types of demonstrations.

Citizens are encouraged to apply by obtaining an application at the Redmond Police Department, or down loading it off the Redmond Police Departments Face Book, or by calling 541-504-3400. The closing date for accepting applications is September 19 th .
