Public memorial planned for Amy Frohnmayer
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A public memorial will be held in Eugene for the youngest daughter of former University of Oregon president Dave Frohnmayer and his wife.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reported Tuesday (http://bit.ly/2dYGwJF ) that the memorial will be held Oct. 29 for Amy Frohnmayer Winn.
She died Oct. 2 at the age of 29 after a life-long battle with a rare genetic disorder.
Winn was the third Frohnmayer child to die of Fanconi anemia.
The memorial at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts will include a video tribute and presentations by friends and family.
Despite her illness, Winn ran a marathon, completed a master’s degree and was going for a second degree when she died.
She got married earlier this year in the hospital.
