KTVZ

About 2,500 Pacific Power customers on Bend’s Westside lost service for several minutes Sunday afternoon, but all had power restored before 4 p.m., officials said.

The outage, which began around 3:40 p.m., also caused a power surge or blip for thousands of residents elsewhere in the city.

The outage was reduced to about 1,500 customers within about 10 minutes.

Repairs crews were dispatched and the cause of the outage was under investigation, the utility said on its large-scale outage page.

Among areas affected were near COCC and College Way, as well as Awbrey Glen, Awbrey Meadows and the River West community near downtown Bend, according to posts to NewsChannel 21’s Facebook page.
