KTVZ

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – A Medford teenager has been sentenced to seven years in prison for helping attack and kidnap two men because of drug debts.

The Mail Tribune reports (https://is.gd/IHn2yG ) that 17-year-old Damian Elijah Brown on Tuesday pleaded guilty to felony kidnapping and assault charges in two separate but similar cases. Brown was sentenced as an adult for the crimes.

Brown admitted to working with two men to attack and kidnap a Medford man on Sept. 22. The victim was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries following the attack. Brown also admitted to another attack earlier in September.

Brown will be transported to a youth facility and the Department of Corrections will determine whether he will go to adult prison after he turns 18.
