Deschutes County names new budget committee member

Deschutes County commissioners have appointed Bill Anderson to serve on the county’s budget committee.

Anderson, a Bend resident, will serve as one of the committee’s three citizen members. The budget committee, which includes the Board of County Commissioners, reviews the County’s proposed budget and recommends a final version for adoption.

Anderson, a long-time resident of Central Oregon, has served as the CEO of Mid Oregon Federal Credit Union for more than 25 years.

He will serve the remainder on an existing term through December 31, 2018 with the opportunity for reappointment to a subsequent term. Budget committee members are asked to serve three-year terms and are not paid for their time.
