Local Alert Weather 0128 PM

KTVZ

Hello Everyone!

A day without storms felt like a nice break to go outside and enjoy the mild temperatures. We were partly cloudy throughout the afternoon. Windy at times as well with winds up to 10 miles an hour. The winds will pick up throughout the evening and stick around for the next couple days. Temperatures tonight will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

Monday temperatures will stay well above average, near record breaking in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. There will be more clouds than today. This is a sign another storm system is nearing the area. It’ll arrive to the area around 8 o’clock Monday night along the Cascades. This will bring more snow for the resorts. A couple hours later is our best chance of seeing rain. It’s just a 50 percent chance until Tuesday morning. With the colder overnight temperatures La Pine and Sunriver could have light snow showers.

The storm will move out by Tuesday afternoon and skies will break up. Temperatures won’t be as warm after the storm, but still above average. We’ll remain dry for the rest of the week with temperatures staying well above average in the mid 40’s to lower 50’s by the weekend.
