Bend Weekly Road and Traffic Report – April 9-15

Special Event:

· Salmon Run, April 8 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., start and finish at The Athletic Club of Bend. Be aware of flaggers at the following intersections:

o Roundabout at Century Drive and Mt. Washington Drive

o Roundabout at Reed Market Road and Mt. Bachelor Drive

o Intersection of Galveston Avenue and Columbia Street

o Intersection of Galveston Avenue and Riverfront Street

For the week of:

April 9 – 15

· Roundabout Closure with detours at the intersection of Simpson Ave and Century Drive for work on the 14 th Street Reconstruction Project – Phase I.

· 4 th Street between Butler Market Road and Addison Avenue for water line installation, single lane closures with flagging, 4/9/18 – 4/11/18, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

14 th Street Reconstruction Project:

The Simpson Avenue Roundabout at Century Drive will be fully closed starting April 9 and will reopen in mid-May for work on the first stage of the project, which includes reconstruction of the Simpson Roundabout to a concrete surface and construction of the east side of Century Drive from Simpson Avenue to Albany Avenue. Access to businesses in this area will remain open throughout construction. Google Maps and Waze will be updated with current closures due to this project. 2018 City of Bend Street Preservation Projects ( www.bendoregon.gov/streetpreservation for more info about 2018 Street Preservation and Maintenance) :

· Harriman Street between Lafayette Avenue and Franklin Avenue for water valve box replacement, 4/9/18 – 4/10/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.

· Oregon Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue between Brooks Street and Highway 97 for water valve box replacement, 4/11/18 – 4/12/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.

· Lava Road between Oregon Avenue and Franklin Avenue for water valve box replacement, 4/11/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.

· Greenwood Avenue and Newport Avenue between 3 rd Street and Drake Road for water valve box replacement, 4/12/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Ongoing Closures:

· 14 th Street between Galveston Avenue and Newport Avenue for Cascade Natural Gas main relocation, southbound lane closed with detours in place, 3/26/18 – 6/8/18.

· Brosterhous Road between Marble Mountain Lane and Orchard Grass Place, bike lane closed for road construction and curb installation, 4/2/18 – 4/30/18.

Upcoming Closures:

· Roundabout at intersection of Reed Market Road and 15 th Street for Art in Public Places sculpture installation, roundabout closure with detours, 4/27/18, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
