Local Alert Weather – Tues. AM
Happy Tuesday morning, everyone!
This morning we’ll see some smoke lingering from the prescribed burns. Know air quality levels will suffer in the early morning hours, so if you have respiratory issues I would keep your windows shut and your car air on the recycle setting. Temperatures will be cold in the 20s and 30s this morning, but we’ll quickly warm up!
Today we top out in the low to mid 70s putting us well above average for this time of year. Sunshine will be overhead throughout the day, so wear your sunscreen!
As high pressure sits overhead winds will be out of the southeast gusting 20 to 25 miles per hour today.
If we do reach our forecasted high of 75 degrees in Redmond it will be our warmest day of the year. Tomorrow will likely break a daytime high record. The record for April 25 is 77 degrees and was set back in 1977. Our forecasted high for Wednesday is 80 degrees.
Thursday will also be a warm (at times hot) day, but we won’t break a record. A few clouds will trickle in on Thursday ahead of the next system making its way into the region.
High pressure will slide off towards the east allowing for cooler air, some showers, and even a few thunderstorms to move into Central Oregon just in time for the weekend.
