Katie Frazier

Local Alert Weather Meteorologist

Katie Frazier is a broadcast meteorologist and a member of the Local Alert Weather Team.

Katie attended the University of South Alabama, and following graduation, began her broadcast career at KTVZ-TV’s sister station, KVIA-TV, in El Paso, Texas. During her time there, she served as the station’s weekend meteorologist and reporter, delivering weather forecasts and reporting stories for the Borderland community.

In 2023, Katie launched her own freelance weather business, specializing in providing LIVE weather coverage for television stations across the country. Since then, she has worked with more than 10 stations nationwide, and continues to collaborate with a variety of broadcast outlets.

Katie is excited to join KTVZ News in a freelance role while the station searches for a new chief meteorologist. She’ll be stepping in to provide weekday evening weather coverage and looks forward to connecting with members of the community and providing forecasts for communities across Central Oregon.
