First Interstate Bank partners with C. Oregon Locavore
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Central Oregon Locavore Non Profit is proud to announce its newest partner and Corporate Sponsor, First Interstate Bank.
About Central Oregon Locavore Non Profit: Central Oregon Locavore Central Oregon Locavore is a 501(c)3 non-profit supporting local food and farms through many educational programs and a year round indoor farmers market.
About First Interstate Bank: Since coming to Oregon in 2017, First Interstate Bank has been very active in the Central Oregon communities. First Interstate Bank gives back 2 percent of their pre-taxed dollars directly to its communities in which they serve.
This year alone, First Interstate Bank has financially supported over 100 organizations here in the Bend and Sunriver markets and their roughly 150 employees in these markets have completed nearly 4000 hours of volunteerism.
The company supports an array of organizations from the arts at the Tower Theater, to helping feed underserved child partnering with the Giving Plate in support of Backpacks for Bend, to contributing to the local food movement with their partnership with the High Desert Food and Farm Alliance at the Northwest Crossing Farmers Market.
The pinnacle of this year’s community support from First Interstate Bank, was the entire company shut down for a half a day in September, and all of the employees over the company’s six state footprint were paid by the company to go volunteer in their community.
