Opportunity Foundation points to community partnerships
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon recently entered into partnership with Shepherd’s House and the Homeless Leadership Coalition, offering them below-market monthly rental rates as a donation to their organization and as a gesture of goodwill and community partnership.
The Opportunity Foundation has a similar relationship with the nonprofit Redmond Learning Center, a licensed child care center in Redmond offering care to children 3 months to 7 years old.
Finally, The Opportunity Foundation has a long-standing relationship offering reduced rent to the Heart of Oregon Youth Build program, a program teaching youth how to build homes, while at the same time partnering families in our communities who are in need of affordable housing.
The Opportunity Foundation’s Mission is Empowering People of Diverse Abilities.
As such, supporting other community nonprofits that empower the homeless, children and families and young adults in need of support is a natural fit and one that they hope to expand soon by offering no-cost, heated warehouse storage for the Jericho Road shower truck.
This truck allows those in need of a shower to have one. Without this critical service, many in our communities would go without this basic need.
