Wheeler, Unger to host Bend ‘meet and greet’
Oregon State Treasurer Ted Wheeler (D-Portland) will join Deschutes County Commissioner Alan Unger and other elected officials and community leaders on Wednesday afternoon for a community meet and greet.
The event will provide an opportunity for Central Oregonians to engage with their elected officials on issues of interest.
“We are excited to bring community members from diverse backgrounds together to collaborate on ways we can continue to keep Central Oregon on the right track,” says Unger, who is currently serving in his first term as Commissioner and running for a second term.
Treasurer Wheeler expressed his enthusiasm for the event as an important way for Central Oregonians to stay connected and involved at both the local and state level. Both Wheeler and Unger are up for re-election in November and welcome the opportunity for open dialogue on issues and topics important to voters.
Wednesday’s event is open to the public and will be at 900 Wall restaurant in downtown Bend from 4-6pm featuring appetizers and a no-host bar. For more information, please contact Robert Unger at ungerrob@gmail.com or 541-350-9031.
