New La Pine Chamber cookbook out

KTVZ

The La Pine Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the latest in the series of three Chamber cookbooks has just been published and is available for sale right now!

We published the Cowboys of La Pine Cookbook in April and we have just reprinted it so we have copies for Christmas and we are happy to announce that our latest, The La Pine Ladies of Lulu’s Luncheonette is in the office now!

The second cookbook follows the legend of Lulu Le Deux, local Madame turned Entrepreneur when she buys a caf and insinuates her way into La Pine society by serving her special recipe tea to unsuspecting ladies every afternoon at two.

Before she knows it, the mayor’s wife, minister’s wife, local school marm, banker’s wife, and a slew of others are under her spell as she works to do good for La Pine by day and works to keep errant men off the streets at night!

All of the recipes are submitted by the community and the legend starts each chapter followed by food, fun and frolic!

The “Lulu Cookbook” as we call it runs $18.95. The Cowboy Cookbook is $17.95 and a set is available for $30.00 at the Chamber office in La Pine. The book goes on sale in local bookstores immediately and it will soon be available for checkout at the Deschutes Public Library branches.
