A power outage hit more than 2,000 Pacific Power customers in northeast Bend Tuesday morning, lasting for close to 2 1/2 hours, officials said.

Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gauntt said the outage was reported at 6:56 a.m., and service was restored around 9:19 a.m. A wire connected to a pole burned, sparking the outage, he said.

Deschutes County 911 dispatchers said the outage in the area of NE Fourth Street and Revere Avenue knocked out several traffic lights in the vicinity.

They reminded motorists to treat the affected intersections as four-way stops and proceed with caution until the repairs were completed.
