Facebook seeks community grant requests

Facebook Prineville Data Centerhas announced the opening of the next funding cycle of itsCommunity Action Grants Programin Crook County.

Over $100,000 in cash grants is available to qualifying nonprofit organizations and certain public organizations forshort-term, impactful projects in Crook County that address critical community needs, improve education and promote local economic development. Each grant recipient may be awarded up to $15,000.

The Facebook Community Action Grants Program is committed to investing in the long-term health and vitality of Crook County and its residents by supporting qualified nonprofits that meet critical community needs.

Since its launch in 2011, the program has provided more than 104 grants totaling over $415,000 to organizations and schools that contribute to making Crook County a great place to live and work.

Groups may apply by going online towww.facebook.com/PrinevilleDataCenter. The deadline is December 15 at 5 PM, with award announcements made by early spring 2015.
