Warm-up due: Mt. Bachelor not worried
With recent snowfall at Mt. Bachelor, many people aren’t thinking the snow will ever end. But warmer weather is on the way and may affect the snow base at Mt. Bachelor.
Bachelor spokesman Stirling Cobb said Wednesday, “Over the next couple days, at least, we’re still expecting snow showers, so we’re hoping to get a few more inches of accumulation. And then looking at the forecast, it looks like Sunday, Monday, Tuesday appear to be pretty sunny and warm.”
Snow will become softer as the sun hits the slopes. But as the sun comes out, so will the T-shirts.
“It’ll be fun to get out there with T-shirts and sunglasses and kind of have some spring skiing-style weather and, you know, just the softer snow,” Cobb said.
The resort still expects to stay open until its scheduled final day on May 29.
