Two southwest Redmond residents were arrested Friday in a drug raid on their home that turned up methamphetamine, cash and other evidence of drug sales, police said Sunday. Three young children were taken into protective state custody.

The Redmond Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant Friday afternoon at 2360 SW Salmon Avenue, said Sgt. Aaron Wells.

The raid resulted from several weeks of investigating meth manufacture, distribution and possession at the home.

During the raid, about 19 grams of meth was seized, along with more than $200 in cash, scales and items used to package drugs, Wells added.

Thomas Cole Grubb, 32, and Angela Marie Roberts, 34, live at the home and were arrested on meth possession, delivery and manufacturing and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Grubb remained held Sunday at the Deschutes County Jail, with bail set at $55,000 pending a court appearance Monday afternoon.

Roberts faces those charges, as well as single counts of interfering with a police officer and frequenting a place where drugs are sold/possessed; her bail totaled $65,000 pending the same court date.

Three children, all under age 13, were taken into protective custody by the state Department of Human Services, Wells said.

“Your Redmond Police Department is committed to improving the quality of life in our community by addressing drug and child safety issues,” Wells said in a news release.

“The Redmond Police Department Street Crimes Unit was first formed in 2010 thanks to a federally funded grant designed to target suspects who were endangering children through sales and used of controlled substances. When the grant funds ended, the city of Redmond continued to fund the unit.

“The Street Crimes Unit continues to target suspects who distribute and possess controlled substances and endanger the lives of minor children, as well as other quality of life crimes such as theft and burglary,” Wells concluded.
