Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
Bitter cold, clear nights are in store for the High Desert moving forward. Lows will be in the single digits and teens with calm winds. We can expect frosty starts to the days ahead, so keep in mind roadways could be slick to begin the day!
High pressure has anchored in overhead. Sunshine is expected for much of Central Oregon. Areas in low lying elevations will wake up to some patchy freezing fog to begin the day, so overnight lows in those locations won’t be AS cold as they’ll be in higher elevations. Daytime highs will also not warm up as much because of the lingering fog.
Daytime highs for Thursday will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which is average. Winds will be breezy across the Cascades and on the west slopes of the Cascades.
A few more clouds will trickle in for Friday and the weekend, but we’re still looking at very sunny skies. Highs will gradually warm into the mid to upper 40s by the weekend.
