Driver in deadly Canby crash facing unrelated drug charge

KTVZ

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say the driver who survived a crash that killed three passengers south of Portland has been arrested on an unrelated drug charge.

KATU-TV reports a car crashed into a group of trees near Canby early Tuesday morning, killing 37-year-old Anthony Brannock, 24-year-old Nathan Casicato and 28-year-old Maxime Avgi.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says the 24-year-old sole survivor of the crash, Savannah Lee Perry, was arrested on an unrelated heroin possession charge. She was booked into jail Tuesday with bail set at $40,000 after she was treated at a hospital.

Deputies say the car was found split into half about 10 feet off the road.
