KTVZ

Good Friday Morning, Everyone…

We saw temperatures drop to freezing and a little below this morning. After some chilly, but above average temps we will see thermometers rise to the upper 30’s to low 40’s. Breezes will be pretty gentle out of the SW at 5-10 mph. Rain showers will be scattered across the High Desert today. As temperatures begin to drop we will see snow mixing in with that rain.

Overnight lows will be dropping to the low to mid 20’s. Breezes will be light out of the south and snow showers will deliver anything from a trace to an inch or two in town. Gilchrist, Chemult and others could see as much as 3-4″ by morning.

This will be great news for Mt. Bachelor. They reported a base of 27″ this morning and they are expecting 9-14″ over the next 24 hours. Snow will be heavy for the mountain through Saturday and Saturday night with snow showers expected to continue into next week.

Central Oregon will see a chance of snow showers through Saturday. Even when this begins to break up Sunday it will leave us with a chance of snow showers through next week. We are expecting party cloudy skies beginning Sunday with much colder temps. Highs will be in the mid 30’s and lows will be well down in the teens with single digits expected Monday night.

DON’T FORGET: The Bend Community Christmas Tree Lighting is this evening at 5 and the Bend Christmas Parade is at noon Saturday. We hope to see you all there!

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
