Nearly 1,200 in Bend hit by late-night power outage

KTVZ

Nearly 1,200 Pacific Power customers lost power late Saturday night when a circuit tripped open, a company spokesman said.

The cause of the circuit issue affecting 1,188 customers was not immediately known, according to spokesman Drew Hanson.

At first, the utility’s Oregon outage page said they expected power to be restored by 1 a.m. But after midnight, the site updated to say crews were investigating the cause and power was expected to be restored before 3 a.m.

By 12:45 a.m., the number affected had dropped a bit, to 1,035 customers.
