Redmond police relocate traffic camera to Southwest Blackbutte Boulevard

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Redmond Police have moved one of their traffic enforcement cameras to Southwest Blackbutte Boulevard near Southwest 10th Street. The automated system is monitoring eastbound traffic along a stretch of road with a posted speed limit of 25 mph.

The mobile camera unit previously operated on Southwest Quartz Avenue near Southwest Quartz Park. City officials relocated the equipment to address traffic along the residential street, which experiences high traffic volume and sits near a school zone.

Registered vehicle owners caught speeding during the initial phase will receive warnings for 30 days. Official citations will not be issued until the warning window concludes.

Speeding citations at the Southwest Blackbutte Boulevard location will officially begin Oct. 15, 2026. Following the start date, photo radar citation enforcement will remain active at the site for 90 days.
